Meet Yaman
Yaman Bdaiwi
Head of Academy
Yaman is the head of the Academy.
An engineer and commercial manager working in the construction and infrastructure sector in the United Arab Emirates, with over 16 years of hands-on experience in contract management, claims, planning, and cost control. His professional journey has evolved at the intersection of engineering, management, and law—an integration that has shaped both his academic path and professional practice.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the American University in Dubai, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from United Arab Emirates University, and a Master’s degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from The British University in Dubai.
He is currently a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate at United Arab Emirates University, with a research focus on innovation, sustainability, and organizational transformation in the construction sector.
In addition, he holds several specialized professional certifications in project and contract management, including:
- PMP and PMI-PMOCP from the Project Management Institute (PMI),
- PSP and CCP from the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE),
- CCM from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA),
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb)
- Sustainability credentials such as LEED GA and Estidama PQP.
He believes that project success is not driven solely by the quality of technical execution, but equally by the clarity of contractual drafting, fair allocation of risks, and the ability to make balanced decisions that protect the interests of all parties—alongside continuous monitoring of performance and costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Beyond his professional role, Yaman is committed to contributing to the advancement of the profession through volunteer work, active participation in professional events, and knowledge sharing with the next generation of engineers and project managers. His recent contributions include participating in the development of knowledge content for the PMBOK® Guide – Eighth Edition, as well as speaking engagements at specialized professional forums, including major industry events such as The Big 5 – Dubai
