Monorail Egypt

The Project

The Monorail Egypt project is a pioneering rapid transit initiative in the Greater Cairo metropolitan area, introducing the country’s first driverless monorail network to enhance urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion across the capital region.
The system comprises two elevated monorail lines: one linking East Cairo with the New Administrative Capital, and the second connecting 6th of October City with Giza. Combined, the network will span approximately 96–100 kilometers with around 35 stations and support high-capacity, electric, automated transit at speeds up to about 80 km/h, significantly improving connectivity between key urban hubs.

The Benefit

East West Consulting Group deliverables improved accuracy, efficiency, and cost control by automating material counts, detecting clashes early, enhancing collaboration through a central model, and allowing for real-time cost impact analysis, ultimately reducing errors, waste, and costly rework.
