Development of Shamkha South
The Project
The South Shamkha Infrastructure Project is a massive urban development in Abu Dhabi designed to accommodate approximately 200,000 residents across a 40-square-kilometer area.
The development included the construction of 402 km of roads, including 80 km of main roads and 270 km of minor roads, 422 km of potable water distribution networks and primary pumping stations, over 430 km of wastewater networks, nearly 1,000 km of drainage networks with retaining ponds and primary and secondary substations to ensure constant electricity across all neighborhoods.
